The photo's are all engraved into the metal so are shades of white/grey/silver. Colour photo engraving is not possible unfortunately. 

The photo engraving process uses a diamond tipped head to imprint the photo onto the metal surface of the item. The photo's are engraved in shades of white/grey and when viewed in different light an holographic effect is produced on the item.

As most of our items are highly reflective and mirror polished, depending on the angle and the light reflecting on the surface, this will result in whether the detail in the engraved photograph can be seen or not. 

Most photographs can be engraved but it also depends on the quality and also the positioning of the subject(s). For example, a large group photo with many people or distance shot would not be suitable for our charms and smaller items due to the small area to fit the detail into. Yes this is entirely possible! The prints must have a good contrast from the background and should be a dark print on white paper, which we can then inverse to get a good clear engraving.

The amount of writing depends on the item you'd like it engraved onto, for example, a larger amount of writing will work best on our larger items such as keyrings and pendants.

We aim to complete and dispatch all orders within 1-3 business days. Shipping times depend on the shipping option you choose during checkout.

2nd Class Signed For - Once dispatched it usually takes 3-5 business days for the item to arrive.

1st Class Signed For - Once dispatched it usually takes 1-2 working days for the item to arrive. Please note: This option only affects shipping time. It will still take 1-3 days to complete your order before dispatch.

International orders take around 10 working days to arrive after dispatch, this can be shorter or longer depending on how quickly it clears customs in your country.

A signature is required on delivery for all shipping options.

If you realise you made a mistake after you have placed your order, please e-mail us at help@photoengravedgifts.com. Please include your name and order number when contacting us.

If we have already processed and completed your order then unfortunately it will not be possible to change any mistakes you made previously.

Due to the way our shopping cart/web software is coded we need to split orders up to 2 separate items. The first being the product (eg. Heart Charm) and the second being the type of engraving you select (eg. Photo + Text). Your order is not affected and neither is the total cost. The total price you see at the checkout is the price you pay.
